Mex 1 Coastal Cantina is named after Mexico 1 – the Mexican Federal Highway that runs the length of the Baja California Peninsula from Tijuana in the North to Cabo San Lucas at the Southern tip. Mexico 1 is dotted with epic surf spots and authentic taco joints and cantinas.
The local cantinas serve up simple but flavorful food, memorable margaritas and ice-cold beer. These establishments are often the central gathering place for a community and encourage discussion and storytelling among surfers, locals, tourists and wanderers alike. This bonafide locale is what inspired us to create Mex 1 Coastal Cantina right here at home in South Carolina.
